Tips and tricks to basic speech making

April 7th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Making a great speech is not an easy thing to do. However, if you put your mind to it, you can definately construct some words that will capture your audiences attention

The free speeches on this web resource are meant to be samples, or guides, that will give you some ideas when making your speech.
Here are the three biggest tips and tricks to remember when saying your speech:

1.) Make eye contact. No one likes it when the speech maker just looks down at a piece of paper during the whole speech. The more you look up, the more of a connection you can make with your audience. And if you have time, just memorize your speech. This way, you can be more animated while you are talking and the speech will definately come out better.

2.)Be confident. If you aren’t confident, even a great speech won’t catch your audiences attention. If you have problems with stage fright, just make sure to practice your speech until you are completely confident in what you are going to say.

3.)Remember, a great speech doesn’t have to be too long. A toast or small speech can last as little as a few minutes and still be a great speech.

Perhaps these are just general, or too obvious but they definately do the trick for making a good speech and there the first three tips I would give to any novice speech maker
